Gangabread or Gingerbread Grow House?

Laurie and MaryJane are Portland-local edible specialists. They create delicious cannabis-infused treats and this holiday season they want to treat us with some Gangabread House or as they like to call it "Gingerbread Grow House".
The girls are making two gingerbread houses infused with canna-butter from Obama-kush and they are going to give it away to a couple of local dispensaries. So, if you are doing your last minute Christmas shopping, you might get lucky and try a piece of this delicious Gangabread house.

If you are not that lucky, then you still can get a piece of that house by making it yourself!

Gingerbread (serves 6-8)

In a mixer, soften butter until smooth then add sugar and mix until fluffy. Add eggs, molasses and vanilla and mix again.

In a separate large bowl combine the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt. This mixture slowly add to the mixer and combine all the ingredients until the dough is firm but easy to work with. If necessary, add more flour. Place the dough in fridge for an hour.

Preheat the oven to 340°F. Separate dough in half and roll in 1/4" thickness.  Cut out the shapes for the gingerbread house using templates and place the "ready" parts of the house onto baking shits covered with parchment. Bake for 15-18 minutes and let it to cool down.

Royal Icing

Using mixer, whip sugar, eggs and cream of tartar until the mixture is thick enough to hold it's shape.

Create a base for your ginger house using a cardboard or a layer of gingerbread. Glue together the base (walls) first and let is sit for about 20 minutes. Then glue the roof and let it set completely. When the house is done, decorate the way you like it with candy, nuts, frosting or anything else you can think of.

Enjoy great Gangabread House this Holiday Season!

Thank You Laurie & MaryJain for the great receipt!
