New Year, New Hope

Cannabis For Children

Illinois State

New Year 2015 is bringing hope to the parents, who's kids suffer from epilepsy or muscular dystrophy. The state's medical marijuana law will be affective on January 1, 2015 and will allow those kids to use medical marijuana medicine in a from of edibles (foods and candies) and liquids. Children under 18 will not be allowed to smoke raw cannabis like adults do.

To get the access to the medical marijuana medicine, children under 18 will have to have parents or a guardian permission, a prescription of the primary care physician and the recommendation from a secondary doctor. Children won't have to submit the fingerprints, but will require to present a photograph. $100 annual fee will also be required for participation in the states medical marijuana program.

New Year, New Hope. All kids deserve a chance for a better future.
